Over 6 weeks, participants will learn how to develop original concepts, create dynamic and hilarious characters, and craft a compelling pilot script from the ground up. With insider insights and practical guidance, students will leave with a deeper understanding of comedic storytelling—and the tools to bring their own unique voice to the screen.\nAbout the Instructors\nLauren Wells is a screenwriter whose credits include FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Her original pilot FLAT was featured on The 2023 Next List, spotlighting rising voices in television, and she recently adapted Dracula into the Ambie-nominated podcast Mina + Lucy’s Guide to Slaying Dracula.
