In this 6-week course, Marc Porterfield shares insider knowledge from his work on acclaimed projects like Fear the Walking Dead: Passage and The Line. Students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques to master the logistics of film and television production.

About the Instructor
Marc Porterfield has over 20 year’s experience working as a Line Producer in the Television and Film Industry. He’s worked on short films with no money to studio films with a budget over $195 million. In the past couple of years Marc’s work includes his first network television series BLACK JESUS, his work on FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (where he received two Emmy nominations), overseeing a slate of American High’s original films for Hulu in Syracuse, NY, Indie Spirit Award nominated film WILD INDIAN and this year’s Tribeca Film Festival’s World Premier of THE LINE. Last year he helped oversee Amazon’s first ever live concert broadcast (8 concerts in total) after Thursday Night Football for Amazon Music Live. Marc is a member of the Television Academy, Producers Guild of America, and a member of The Teamsters, Local 996 Hawaii. He went to the United States Military Academy at West Point for his undergrad and then attended NYU School of Continuing Education for the Certificate of Business in Entertainment and the Sundance Producers Conference. Marc taught the class “Episodic Producing for Network TV Series and Web Series” at UCLA Extension. Marc currently resides on Oahu, Hawaii.
