American High Shields the World
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the film industry, our community, and the world faced unprecedented challenges, American High and The Academy at American High sprang into action. In response to the critical shortage of personal protective equipment, our team transformed the Greater Syracuse Soundstage into an assembly center, producing over 300 face shields each day under the banner of #ShieldTheWorld. This rapid response exemplifies our unwavering commitment to supporting the Central New York community during times of crisis.
A Unified Response to Crisis
In response to the pandemic, we launched a collective effort that emphasized unity and support. Volunteers joined us to assemble face shields, and our community played a crucial role in sourcing materials. This collective mobilization showcased the transformative power of working together during challenging times. It reaffirmed our commitment to community support, a core value shared by both American High and The Academy at American High, extending beyond filmmaking and media to serve the greater good.
