From Page to Picture: Finding the Right Fit with Matt Sacca

Join Matt Sacca, Head of Development and an Associate Producer at American High in an exclusive workshop where he’ll share what makes a script stand out to development teams, how projects evolve from initial pitch to production-ready, and the crucial factors that determine whether a film gets the green light. He began working in production on American High’s first joint venture with Hulu, and one of Hulu’s first-ever Original Films, The Binge. His contributions in production on AH projects (The Ultimate Playlist of Noise) and other indies (Gabriel’s Rapture, On the Count of Three) led writer-director-producer Jeremy Garelick to hire Sacca as his assistant during production of Plan B, Sex Appeal, The Binge 2: It’s a Wonderful Binge, and Crush. From there, Matt served as Development Executive on Miguel Wants To Fight and Prom Dates before making his debut as an Associate Producer on the upcoming film, Summer of 69.

Ever wondered what transforms a promising script into a greenlit production? This workshop is perfect for screenwriters, filmmakers, and anyone passionate about the business side of storytelling, this rare opportunity offers direct access to someone who’s been on the inside of countless “yes” and “no” decisions. Whether you’re crafting your first screenplay or your fifteenth, Matt’s industry insights will give you the competitive edge you need to navigate today’s film development landscape!
