A little about Jeremy:
Jeremy Garelick (5’10” / 190 lbs) is a filmmaker, writer, and entrepreneur reinventing Hollywood comedy with brains, heart, and a big set of balls.
A Yale grad who went from the CAA mailroom to director Joel Schumacher’s right hand, Garelick sold his first script in 2002 and co-wrote the production draft of The Hangover, launching one of the biggest comedy franchises ever. He’s since written or directed The Break-Up, The Wedding Ringer, The Binge, Murder Mystery 2, and the upcoming Rolling Loud, starring Owen Wilson, Matt Rife, and Travis Scott.
In 2017, he founded American High, turning an abandoned high school into a teen-comedy powerhouse that has produced 20+ films since its inception. The company has also launched a viral digital network that has garnered 11 million followers, 8 billion views and won last year’s Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Social Media Comedy and Youtube’s Gold and Silver Creator Awards.
Named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Innovators and winner of the 2023 STEAM Company of the Year Award, Garelick founded The Academy at American High to champion ethical AI—and prove that technology shouldn’t replace storytellers, it should supercharge them.
